This is not the only published version of this catalogue. The
original catalogue was 'modified and supplemented' as art works were
added or subtracted for the London showing of the exhibition, which
originated at the Kunsthalle Berne. It presented a range of 'new'
art work. By 'new' it loosely meant innovative and progressive.
Preoccupations with form and material were 'out'. The 'new' concerns
were with process and content. There is another catalogue in the
Library called '1965 to 1972 - when attitudes became form',
(published in 1984 to accompany the exhibition held at Kettle's Yard
Gallery, Cambridge and Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh), which puts
the art of this period into perspective. One of the artists included
in both of these exhibitions is Barry Flanagan.

comments: Not sure how morally upstanding it is to display a catalogue sponsored by the
makers of Marlboro cigarettes (sponsors of the KKK......allegedly), but it looks like
pretty interesting stuff. Kettle's Yard is a delightful place, where you can pick up the
stones on display and rub them for inner calm!
