Six dozen red roses, 1992

dried rose petals and card h 4.2-21, w 12.5, d 17-33.7 cm

Anya Gallacccio has used the 10,000 red roses from a previous installation, to produce a variety of works that, in a sense, prolong the life of these flowers. In 6 Dozen Red Roses, the flowers have been dried to form pastel sticks. We cannot see the flowers, nor smell them, but we can sense them in a different way - through our imagination.
